ADLF Calls for Investigation into Lane Grigsby’s Interference in State Senate District 16 Race

ADLF today sent a complaint to Louisiana’s Attorney General, the Louisiana State Ethics Board, and the Baton Rouge District Attorney following a recent report that Eddie Rispone-backer, Lane Grigsby, attempted to bribe state Senate District 16 candidate, Franklin Foil, into dropping out of the race by promising to help Foil secure a judicial seat in the future.

“Lane Grigsby is shamelessly trying to rig Louisiana’s election to get his cronies, including Eddie Rispone, into office so they can do his bidding in Baton Rouge,” said ADLF’s Brad Woodhouse. “In his latest move, Grigsby tried to bribe state Senate candidate Franklin Foil into dropping out of the race. It’s also worth noting that Foil didn’t back Eddie Rispone during the primary, but his Grigsby-backed Republican runoff rival Steve Carter, did.”
