The American Democracy Legal Fund sent a letter today to the Senate Ethics Committee requesting an immediate investigation into allegations that United States Senator Cory Gardner is using his taxpayer-funded Senate office to financially benefit his family. According to a recent report by the Congressional Integrity Project, Senator Gardner and his wife are personally profiting off the very same business interests that Senator Gardner has taken legislative action on behalf of as a member of Congress.
“Senator Gardner used his government office to push the legislative priorities of Jaime Gardner’s personal business clients,” said ADLF’s Brad Woodhouse. “This is corruption, pure and simply. The Senate Ethics Committee must begin an immediate investigation into this pattern of corrupt and unethical behavior from Senator Gardner to benefit his family’s business interests.”
