ADLF Requests Formal Investigation By Senate Ethics Committee Into Susan Collins Corruption Allegations

Read the full request here.

The American Democracy Legal Fund (ADLF) sent a letter to the United States Senate Ethics Committee today requesting an immediate investigation into allegations of corruption on the part of United States Senator Susan Collins. The allegations stem from a recent report by HuffPost and a subsequent investigation by ADLF detailing a clear pattern of corrupt and unethical behavior by Senator Collins. ADLF’s findings are detailed in the letter sent to the Ethics Committee, and establish that Senator Collins has repeatedly used her office to benefit her husband, and subsequently, herself.

“This is a clear pattern of unethical and corrupt behavior by Senator Susan Collins and the Senate Ethics Committee must begin an immediate investigation into her abuse of office,” said ADLF’s Brad Woodhouse. “We are in the middle of a pandemic that has cost more than 180,000 Americans their lives, and instead of focusing on helping her constituents, Senator Collins is using her office to enrich herself and her husband. This blatant corruption must be thoroughly investigated by the Senate Ethics Committee.”
